Emma Lowndes

Founder & Director

Emma trained at RADA. She has been an actress for over 20 years in Film, TV, Theatre and Audio. She is best known for playing Mrs Drewe in Downton Abbey, the movie Military Wives and for playing Ginny in the West End Production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Most recently Emma filmed The Good Ship Murder and Criminal Record, both out now; and Amadeus, out in 2025.

Emma sits on the audition panel for RADA. She has an enhanced DBS certificate, safeguarding and prevent training, and holds a children's mental health certificate.

Two truths and a lie - Emma has 3 pets named after musicians, she could do a double twisting back somersault as a kid and can hit a High C when singing.

Terry Bamberger

Meisner Technique/Lead Acting Coach

Terry studied at the University of California and has a Masters from San Fransico State. In the US she had extensive acting training, most notably at the Rachael Adler Studios where she studied Meisner and later became a certifified Meisner Coach. She has taught acting for 20 years to many students, including stars of the Marvel Movies. Her acting credits include numerous productions for the San Fransico Shakespeare Company and the SF Playhouse in California. Filming credits include The Good Ship Murder and the movie Best Geezer. Terry has most recently completed a movie with Bryce Dallas Howard and Orlando Bloom.

Two truths and a lie - Terry has 2 cats with no tails, she once won a hotdog eating contest, and can recite the opening to Chaucer's Canterbury Tales in Middle English.

Evelyn Nallen

Assistant/Music Advisor

Evelyn is the Founder and Musical Director of The Weaver Ensemble, a baroque theatre troupe, Zero Gravity, Cambridge's Recorder Band and Respectable Groove. She has performed on the BBC and on Radio 1, 2, 3 and 4. Evelyn has lectured around the world and taught at The Royal Academy of Music, Junior Department until 2022.

Two truths and a lie - Evelyn made her debut on the BBC playing the recorder at the age of 9, she won the Irish Dancing World Championships for the Two-hand Reel and she has driven a Ferrari around the racetrack at Goodwood.

Jason Merrells

Guest Collaborator/Screen Work Coach

Jason is an award winning actor, having worked in TV, Film, Theatre and Audio for over 30 years. He is best known for being the first Head Master of Waterloo Road, as Gavin Farraday in Cutting It and as Declan Macey in Emmerdale. His extensive theatre work includes lead roles at the RSC, the Menier Factory and in the West End. Most recently Jason starred in Agatha Raison for Sky TV and Happy Valley. Jason is currently touring in The Girl on the Train and is about to be seen as a cameo guest star in Waterloo Road, reviving the beloved character Jack Rimmer.

Jason holds a DBS certificate.

Two truth and a lie - Jasn is a keen skateboarder, he makes a mean linguine and enjoys creating sculptures with a chainsaw.

Elizabeth Hill

Guest Collaborator/Physical Theatre Coach

Liz trained at The Northern Ballet School and then in acting at Mountview. She has been in the business being an all singing, dancing, acting triple threat for over 30 years. Most recent highlights include a movie with Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx, Breeders, Then Barbara Met Alan, Enola Holmes 2 and performances at The National Theatre, Hamstead Theatre and in the West End - notably playing Delores Umbridge and Petunia Dursley in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Two truths and a lie - Liz is the youngest of 5 children, she has 6 dogs, and used to be able to turn 8 pirouettes on pointe in one go!

What were the lies?

Well, Emma is no soprano, Jason would certainly fall off a skateboard, Liz hasn't time to walk so many dogs, Kate can't speak Spanish, Terry may be from the USA but she has never won a hotdog eating contest and Evelyn has never driven a Ferrari around Goodwood (she was, however, in the passenger seat).
