Nurturing Tomorrow's Acting Talent

The Lowndes Academy was originally founded in order to provide top class acting training to Young People in Cambridgeshire. From 2025 we will also offer classes to adults over 16. The members will be taught acting fundamentals to truly flourish in Television, Film and Theatre. The classes will be geared at building confidence and generating joy. This will help build friendships and self esteem.

The Lowndes Academy welcomes actors with a variety of experience. We value individuality.

Classes run on a first come, first served basis for taster sessions, and then there is a wait list. You will need to participate in a free trial session to explore if you are compatible with our club and enjoy it.

All you have to do is show up, join in and be present.

The founder, Emma Lowndes, is an award-winning RADA trained actress. She has over twenty years experience in the business. She has worked with Oscar nominated and Olivier nominated directors and actors.

Emma also coaches one-to-one for actors and non-actors. This coaching may especially suit those currently studying acting, trying to get into drama school, preparing for a role/audition as well as adults in local drama groups and those in business preparing for a presentation. Subject to availability.

THE LOWNDES ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIP

Emma saw a need for exceptional acting training aimed at young people and at a realistic price. Because Emma hopes to open the door to all young people, The LA will provide a scholarship fund for the training of a talented Young Person so they can train for free. If you wish to contribute to this we would gratefully accept £230 a term, instead of £200, without obligation.

If you think you/or someone you know may qualify as a talented Young Person who may need financial assistance, please tell us. Interview will be required for this opportunity but you don't need previous experience.
